About This Program
Suggested Age Range: 5-12
Program Cost: Ages 0-24 Months: Free (registration still required), Ages 5-12: $5, Adults: $5
What makes something float? At Blandford Nature Center, we know children learn best by doing, asking questions and finding hands-on evidence to answer their own questions. We’ll provide all the tools for you and your child to build a mini boat and see if it will float. This will be an opportunity to learn more about what makes something buoyant. Once finished with building our mini boats we’ll run mini boat races to see how fast and far your boat can go!

By attending our Nature Neighbor programs, you are supporting BNC’s mission of connecting the community to our natural world. We look forward to getting outside with you!
Cancellation Policy: No refunds will be given for Nature Neighbor programs. Please come prepared for the elements as refunds are not available for weather-related conditions except in the case of severe weather. If Blandford cancels a program due to severe weather, you will be able to transfer your registration to another similar Nature Neighbors program.
